Found a really cool post on LifeHacker today about a free service that’ll be really useful for folks living outside the US of A. Sites like Hulu, NBC, and even some vids on YouTube are blocked if you’re not coming from the States. Sure you could setup a VPN or proxy connection but for the non-tech-nerd-types that isn’t exactly easy. Changing your DNS settings though, not terribly difficult. So that’s where Tunlr comes in.
Now I’ve seen a lot of crazy things on mopeds here in Manila. I’ve seen 4 full size adults packed onto on. I’ve seen three “State Police” riding on a single moped. Yeah, nothing says “authority” figure like riding bitch on a moped. I often see a family: dad driving with helmet, baby in the middle without helmet, and mom riding on the back with a helmet. I call this the nutcracker.

Teaching her to delete email addresses listed on emails she forwards. Generally trying to help her understand that leaving all those email addresses where they can be read by spyware is a BAD idea.

Yes, Shey and I are buying a place. It’s at One Serendra which is in the Fort Bonafacio area of Manila. It’s the nicest area in the country and is a fully planned live/work/play/shop community on the grounds of what used to be Fort McKinley. Doesn’t look like much now b/c it’s totally empty but it will be bad ass once we’re done with it!
