I had no idea a birthday party for a 7 year old could be so darn exhausting! This past Sunday, at the McDonald’s in Greenhills Mall Karen and I held a birthday for our youngest daughter Nicole who turned seven. Unlike the birthday parties I’m used to in the USA where parents just dropped their kids off, all the parents stayed and enjoyed the party. It was like a family reunion in that we wound up having 80 people attend! My mom, Shey, Danny, Nick, Anna, and Kat Kat (Anna’s daughter) also attended. On July 13th my mom turned 73 years old.  It was her first birthday celebrated over here in the Philippines.  The day started off with the ladies from my office dropping by to give her gifts.  I finished the day by taking mom and several friends out to dinner at Roadhouse which is an American style steak place here in Manila.  Heh, since it was Mom’s b-day I figured she’d like some Americana   Turns out I was right and she LOVED her food.  Understand with my mom that’s a tricky proposition.  Anyway, pics and vids below:

So my Mom now lives in Manila!  I’m really excited about this.  Sure it’s a lot of work but Mom is so happy and so much healthier now!  Thanks to how inexpensive it is to live here I was able to get her a condo twice as big as her house in USA, a full-time maid, and a full-time nurse/caretaker!  So first thing to do was bring her by the office to meet everyone and then get her a puppy!  Check out the pix below!
