The Makati Garden Club (which my mom is a member of) did a trip up to Tagaytay's Flower Farm a few months ago. As my mom is a ridonkulous horticulture buff we of course had to take her up there. I'll give credit where credit is due. There were some truly amazing plants up there. Nice timing also as the day before I'd picked up a brand new digital camera which shoots in widescreen format.

Yes, Shey and I are buying a place. It's at One Serendra which is in the Fort Bonafacio area of Manila. It's the nicest area in the country and is a fully planned live/work/play/shop community on the grounds of what used to be Fort McKinley.

We FINALLY had a vacation! We went to Thailand and stayed 2 nights in Bangkok and then 4 nights in Pattaya which is a beach area 2 hours south of Bangkok. The temples in Bangkok were AMAZING, like nothing I’ve ever seen. They start on page 4 when you click this link if you want to fast forward to the good stuff :)

We took a trip with Rick and the DigiPawn crew to the island of Corregidor Island just off Manila bay. The island was one of the last stands in WWII against the Japanese. As it was retaken it turned into one of the last stands for the Japanese against US and Filipino Troops.

Shey and I finally have a child, sort of. Stanley is our baby Beagle. He was born in Oregon. Shey flew from Manila to Los Angeles to pick him up on 4/11/07. As you can see by the pix he's done nothing but play, sleep, and GROW!

Baguio is known for it’s excellent silversmiths and great prices. Shey and I picked up a bracelet for me, puzzle rings for both of us, a matching necklace and pair of earrings for Shey, and finally an amazing dragon for Shey. All this for less than $150!!

And here's the main event of Christmas 2006. Shey and I traveled to the mountain town of Baguio to enjoy cooler weather, awesome site-seeing, and some great shopping!

An hour before we left for our trip to Baguio, Fed-Ex showed up with a package from the US. Mom had express shipped our presents to be sure we got them before Christmas day. Thanks Mom!

On 6/4/2007 Shey and I had been together for 3 years! We celebrated with a get-away and a romantic dinner! We wanted to get away but not deal with the hassle of a trip. So we checked into a nice hotel in Makati, had an AMAZING dinner, and the staff brought us up an anniversary cake for free!
